PAINTER - GENERAL MAINTENANCE - LEVEL 2

Primarily responsible for interior/exterior paint, vinyl wall covering, drywall and finishes in addition to a variety of tasks that include demolition, construction and finishing new surfaces ensuring a high-quality product on various projects and maintenance tasks. You will work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and exceed customer experience.

The job involves:

  • Responsible for meeting project deadlines as prioritized by the Engineering Managers, supervisors and project coordinators.
  • Follows project specifications for final installation.
  • Responsible for remediation/repair work on various interior and exterior surfaces such as fiberglass, faux finish, drywall, textured millwork, ceilings, venetian plaster, stucco, and ornamental metals.
  • Inform Project Coordinators regarding inventory requirements. Ensure adequate supply of all working materials.
  • Open communication with Engineering Managers, Supervisor and Project Coordinator for ensuring departmental goals, timelines and deadlines are achieved.
  • Work on paint, wall repair, wallpaper, and demand and Preventative Maintenance Work orders as directed by the Project Coordinator.
  • Identify deficiencies in the building and report it to the Project Coordinator.
  • The Associate exhibits a team approach, willing attitude, and a positive approach towards assisting fellow Associates
  • Must have exceptional communication skills. Demonstrates respect, regard and consideration toward others.
  • Work as part of a team for the success of the business. Exhibits attention to detail and accuracy in performance duties.
  • Adheres to compliance and workplace policies, internal control procedures and AGCO directives.
  • required to replace drywall to repair a ceiling or wall
  • Responsible for constructing, assembling, installing, connecting, repairing, renovating, and maintaining fixtures involving electrical, plumbing, masonry, landscaping, furniture and carpentry
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor or Project Coordinator

The ideal candidate has:

  • Ten (10) + years trade related trade experience and/or trade related certifications
  • Experience in using the following equipment is an asset. Spray equipment as follows: airless sprayers, hvlps, pressure pot sprayers and various power tools
  • Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of decorative and paint finishes an asset.
  • Familiar with occupational health and safety standards.
