The job involves:

• This is a 1-year contract with full time hours
• Proper and safe food handling and sanitation procedures in a timely manner in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
• Preparing food in the capacity of a First Wok Cook or First Chop Board Cook.
• Implementing the development, documentation and consistent delivery of standards of operations.
• Administering training, coaching and counseling to Associates.
• Observing Associates to ensure duties are performed to company/departmental specifications, methods of preparations, portioning and the adherence to health codes.
• Ordering inventory and monitoring for freshness and quality.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Asian Kitchen
• Strong mathematical skills
• Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin (written and verbal); English (Conversational)
• Basic computer skills

• Food Safe Handling certificate, Strong knife handling skills
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to focus on results and promote guest service; able to motivate Associates and create a team environment
• Conflict resolution and problem solving
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good physical stamina (lifting, standing) and manual dexterity
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
