The Resort Sales and Conference Specialist will play a key role as a member of the Resort Sales & Planning team, working with internal and external clients to determine and communicate all event needs. If you would like to be on a team of Great People delivering great service, we may have just the opportunity for you.

The job involves:

  • Collaborating with internal and external clients to determine event objectives, budgets, and all other requirements
  • Developing relationships with meeting and event planners to exceed expectations and deliver amazing guest experiences
  • Designing detailed event plans, including timelines, menus, room setups, etc.
  • Creating Banquet Event Orders to communicate all necessary information to internal teams.
  • Playing a key role working with other internal departments (Banquets, A/V Production, Hotel, Kitchen etc.)
  • Managing the organization and completion of weekly distribution of Banquet Event Orders, change logs, and running weekly BEO Meetings
  • Conducting in-house site tours and pre-conference meetings
  • Conducting post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved
  • Oversee accurate delivery of final program billing
  • Assisting in a Sales Capacity when needed to maintain business levels, retain current clients, and attract new clients
  • Adhering to compliance and workplace policies, internal control procedures, and AGCO directives

The ideal candidate has:

  • College diploma or equivalent work experience required, with a preference given to Hospitality/Tourism specific
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in meetings and events preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point required
  • Experience with Delphi/Amadeus systems preferred
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred
  • Proven ability to create strategies and initiate tactical plans to reach goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills and effective time management
