The Video Supervisor provides remarkable service to internal guests; executes duties in a professional and knowledgeable manner. The Video Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all equipment is in working condition, the proper equipment is being used and the individual operating the equipment is trained and competent. The job involves:

  • Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and is in working condition
  • Overseeing and providing guidance to external labour providers
  • Maintaining all video related supplies as needed (IntelliEvent)
  • Using computer-controlled video editing systems to edit raw footage and add visual effects and graphics into a finished product
  • Using audio equipment such as equalizers, noise reducers, and mixing consoles to include sound effects, dialogue and music
  • Maintaining & updating Fallsview Media Archive Library for the NFEC, Avalon, Grand Hall & Corporate/ Special events
  • Supervising, booking & assisting with scheduling all video staff on Property
  • Video Director/ Switcher for Events in the Grand Hall & Multi Camera Events in the OLG Stage & Avalon Theatre
  • Troubleshooting of all related equipment & provide research & advise on new purchases (IntelliEvent)
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

  • College/High School Diploma or equivalent in video production, film editing or postproduction techniques
  • Minimum 10 years' experience camera operation, video editing, lighting and sound equipment applications and other associated equipment for show and event production
  • Expert knowledge of Video Production & Video Editing including excellent computer skills in Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Encore, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Flash, Illustrator, Mocha Tracking, Shotput pro, Macdrive 8
  • Knowledge of compressing, codecs, aspect ratios and bitrates
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas visually, orally and in writing
