The Key Account Manager - Food Service is a new position that will help accelerate growth in the Food Service segment. This position will be responsible for driving the company’s gross sales while ensuring they are in line with corporate margin expectations. It will include acquisition of new customers across Canada, maintaining and developing strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Developing and leading a sales pipeline for growth including prospecting, understanding customer requirements, proposals, commercialization, and servicing accounts
  • 80% of time prospecting new business, and 20% of the time spent on account management & administrative requirements.
  • Establish and Manage the Food Service Sales Objectives & Budget including:
  • Developing and managing annual customer sales plans for regions/territories
  • Forecasting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Preparing and presenting required internal business reviews
  • Actively pursuing new business
  • Represent our corporate values
  • Are in alignment and are actively driving towards our fiscal sales objectives
  • Provide weekly reports outlining current selling activity
  • Driving potential new business opportunities in a timely fashion
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure the corporate objectives are met
  • Lead customer projects from beginning to end

Requirements:

  • Min experience of 5-7 years in Food Service Sales Experience
  • Must be familiar with Canadian Food Service Chains and Distributors
  • Must have a clear understanding of the QSR and Food Service landscape across Canada
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to open doors across clients at all levels
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Prior Established Relationships with Regional/National Food Service Chains
