Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday - 8pm-4:30am, 4am-12:30pm shifts available – Holidays, as required

Reporting to: Outdoor Operations Manager
Start Date: Early December 2024


At Brimacombe ski area we don’t just offer skiing and snowboarding, we offer a place for all ages to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and create memorable family experiences! We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused team members to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.


As part of our Outdoor Operations team, Snowmakers will take a key role (along with Mother Nature) in covering our slopes and helping us create unforgettable customer experiences. As a member of the Brimacombe staff, you will also help us in defining the culture of our team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Making snow! This involves using water, pumps, snow guns, hoses, air compressors and more, as well as regularly checking, adjusting, relocating and maintaining the equipment for optimal quality and efficiency
  • Documenting production rates and conditions
  • Operating snowmobiles and all-terrain utility vehicles
  • Charlie-Tango-Alpha-Foxtrot – using radios for communication
  • Ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Working in the great outdoors!
  • Ready to take on any challenge or help other team members when needed


Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand/work a full shift outside in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable, as well as able to work well with others
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to operate snowmobiles and all-terrain utility vehicles
  • Class G Driver's License
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic mechanical skill set
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs of equipment
  • Familiarity with pumps, air compressors and other equipment used in snowmaking, preferred

Hiring Timeline

  • Intermittent paid training will be scheduled mid to late November.
  • Regular hours will begin early December, dependant on weather.
