We are hiring full-time Cooks to join our team at the Food Court on Carleton University campus. Our Cooks work with passionate culinary leaders and get exposure to a wide range of cultural cuisines. Our Cooks prepare high-quality food, sometimes in front of the customer at action stations, and will require strong customer service skills to provide an exceptional dining experience.

About the Job

  • Cook food following recipes for a high-volume kitchen
  • Ensure adherence to recipes to meet any dietary requirements
  • Take culinary lead on the floor within the location
  • Ensure consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of food
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times
  • Assist with controlling waste and spoilage
  • Assist with culinary auditing, and food safety measures
  • Assist with weekly inventory
  • Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
  • Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
  • May perform other job duties as required

About You

  • Experience in the Culinary field
  • Experience with basic food preparation and various cooking methods
  • Knowledge of food, sanitization, and health and safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Problem solving
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Enjoy working with others in a team setting

The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
