Job Description

As a professional Housekeeper on our team, you'll take pride in cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of our locations to help keep our guests happy and healthy. Integrity and attention to detail are also two must-have tools that you keep in your cleaning case.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain all assigned rooms, ancillary areas and department areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Cleans all assigned areas utilizing the cleaning steps identified on you work schedule.
• Clean assigned carts and equipment daily; ensures all items are returned in an orderly manner 100% of the time.
• Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissues, soap, etc.; requests supplies and equipment as needed.
• Routinely collects waste; sanitizes all garbage cans on an on-going basis.
• Clean or sanitize after emergency spills as requested.
• Ensures a safe clean attractive environment for visitors & staff at all times.
• Periods of heavy lifting and strenuous labor required.
• Required to perform work outside and exterior cleaning on occasion
• Keeps work area neat and tidy.
• Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes entire area and washrooms when applicable utilizing established departmental guidelines and productivity measures.
• Uses appropriate solutions in disinfecting rooms.
• Strips all soil and finished base material per department guidelines.
• Analyzes floor or carpet conditions and determines proper cleaning techniques per department guidelines
• Scrubs floors to remove soil per departmental guidelines.
• Refinishes floors to glossy appearance; removes spots from carpets and shampoos; removes stains and finish floors per departmental guidelines.
• Maintains quality standard continuously per departmental protocol.
• Cleans the floor and carpet appropriately to maintain proper appearance with no incidents of damage noted from using incorrect solutions or procedures.
• Demonstrated efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by manager.
• Handles chemicals and solutions per department guidelines.
• Ensures that all chemicals and solutions are in properly labeled containers at all times with no documented incidents noted.
• Adheres to safety regulations as outlined in department guidelines, e.g. wet floor signs.
• Incumbent will adhere to the collective agreements in effect
• Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Past cleaning experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
