Position Overview:

The Order Manager is responsible for building client relationships and coordinating the booking of services and rental equipment. They play an important role in the organization as they are the first point of contact for all new and returning customers. They provide vital information and guidance to ensure the best traffic control solutions are offered so that client needs are met.

For greater clarity, this role's primary objective is to behave in a reception/client service capacity, with invoicing/data entry and other administrative functions as it relates to the order management process.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Act as the main contact between clients and the company by answering phone calls, emails, and assisting walk in clients
  • Assist clients by answering questions, problem solving, and providing information on traffic control solutions
  • Proactively build and maintain client relationships by communicating with clients to evaluate their needs and job specifications
  • Exercise judgment to determine the most appropriate pricing option to quote customers, considering factors such as customer needs, competitive pricing, and company profitability
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services, maximizing revenue from each customer interaction
  • Issuing customer quotes to our clients with accurate pricing and comprehensive information about our products and services
  • Input estimates into the computer system, while prioritizing efficiency and accuracy, contributing to seamless transactions for our customers
  • Issue invoices and receive payments for rental and service transactions
  • Ensure that all work orders are entered into dispatching system promptly
  • Work collaboratively with all division managers to ensure deliveries, pick ups, and other tasks are being completed consistently; provide feedback on this process and develop strategies to optimize it further

What we need from you:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in professional office setting; preferably within the construction industry (Required)
  • Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 8 hrs/day, between the hours of 6am - 4pm (Required)
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail/Sheets/Docs) and ability to learn new software applications (Required)
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills (Required)
  • Valid G class driver's license and your own vehicle (Asset)
  • Diploma in office administration/management or related discipline (Asset)
  • Exceptional ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficient in data entry
