Job Responsibilities
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the food services, includes delegating tasks, motivating and coaching up to 35 hourly employees as required
• Meet daily with the Manager to discuss operational and staffing concerns
• Assist with flow of day-to-day operations on the floor; assist with campus catered events as required
• Supervise and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, follow up, and modification based on business volumes
• Ensure food safety standards and HACCP are always enforced
• Proactively manage food and labor cost controls
• Assist with the recruitment, training, and orientation of staff
• Responsible to assist in staff scheduling and filling shifts as needed
• Assist in dealing with staff related issues such as vacation requests, progressive discipline, etc.
• Responsible for supervising cash handling procedures - balance cash float, safe, and verify deposit
• Resolve customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the Manager as necessary
• Ensure adherence to all of ARAMARK’s Policies and Procedures
• Ensure adherence to ARAMARK’s Health and Safety Policy
• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications
• A minimum of 1-3 years management experience in a food service environment
• Current work schedule is Sunday – Thursday from 10:00AM – 6:30PM
• Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and team building skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate unionized team members
• Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Power Point and Word
• Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
• Experience with scheduling and hiring
• Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to work the scheduled shift, and be flexible as required
