Location: Université de Sudbury

Schedule: permanent, 35 hours/week

Category: unionized (Unifor, category 2)

Remuneration: $23.84 – $25.98/hour; pension; group insurance

Summary of Job Description : Reporting to the Facilities and Security Manager and working with a minimum of supervision, the Maintenance Worker will be part of a team that handles daily building and safety operations. Job duties include cleaning, small repairs, general maintenance, as well as maintaining good relations with co-workers, students, tenants, residence staff, and suppliers.

Required

• Class G driver’s license
• Be physically capable of doing the job
• Be able to lift up to 23 kg
• The working language is French
• Demonstrate organization and adaptability skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Knowledge or certification in building management, HVAC, construction, health and safety, first aid or an equivalent combination of related studies and experience in trades will be considered an asset.
