Our Opportunity

The Canadian Consumer Packaged Goods business is focused on driving growth of Tim Hortons packaged coffee, beverage and food products within grocery, mass, drug, and other retail channels across Canada. We are seeking an Associate Brand Manager, Coffee & Specialty Beverages to join our Marketing Team based in Toronto, ON. This individual will support in achieving short and long-term business objectives for their respective categories, by analyzing data to help build strategies and forecasts, lead cross-functional projects to launch innovation, and support the delivery of strong communication plans.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Become a brand and marketplace expert while monitoring competitive landscape trends and creating reports that inform demand forecasts, customer presentations and future opportunities for growth
  • Innovation Management: Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to bring to life a pipeline of exciting innovations, by managing project delivery and ensuring new products are executed on time and within budget
  • Brand Strategy and Annual Planning: Support the team in the development of long-term category growth plans, by gathering and synthesizing learnings from multiple sources to craft clear recommendations
  • Marketing & Communications: Support the marketing communications briefing process by defining objectives, target consumer, and potential tactics to deliver on the category strategy

Essential Skills

  • Emerging business acumen with ownership mindset focused on driving growth for their category
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a comfort in turning data into actionable insights
  • Passion for building brands with a strong interest in the coffee and beverage category
  • Able to think strategically and understand the unique objectives of multiple stakeholders (consumer, customer, company)
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional meetings, resolve hurdles that arise, and action next steps to ensure continuous progress
  • Able to thrive in ambiguity, and ask smart questions to distill complex problems into manageable pieces

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, Commerce or Marketing considered an asset
  • 2+ years experience in brand management, marketing, or project management
  • Relevant industry experience required with coffee/food/beverage strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in AC Nielsen and Microsoft Office applications
  • Emerging proficiency with P&L ownership and financial acumen
