What is the opportunity?

As a member of the RBC GAM Investment Solutions team, the Business Operations Coordinator will play a key role in managing RBC GAM's relationship with RBC Phillips Hager & North Investment Counsel ("RBC PH&N IC"). RBC PH&N IC is an important partner and client of RBC GAM and is Canada's leading boutique investment counselling firm overseeing $60+ billion of private client AUM.

The Business Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Managing Director responsible for RBC GAM's overall support of its relationship with RBC PH&N IC. The role will lead all business operations support initiatives to help service and grow RBC PH&N IC's business including event planning and coordination, partnering with marketing teams, and managing the team's overall schedule.

What will you do?

  • Manage and maintain a master schedule of all internal and client events in which RBC GAM is partnering with RBC PH&N IC.

  • Coordinate with the RBC GAM events team and RBC PH&N IC's five regional head offices to book meetings and manage client events.

  • Support Investment Counsellor ("IC") client events involving RBC GAM to ensure seamless execution.

  • Coordinate regular RBC GAM training sessions for RBC PH&N IC employees (both in person and virtual).

  • Build out and execute a marketing plan to virtually profile RBC GAM's investment teams to RBC PH&N IC on a quarterly basis.

  • Maintain a bespoke Salesforce database to track all IC meetings, feedback, sales practices, and compliance requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing/event coordination.

  • Experience working with spreadsheet and word processing applications such as MS Word and Excel. Familiarity using CRM applications such as Salesforce also an asset.

  • Amicable and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with an acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritize effectively, and function in high pressure situations.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently in an unstructured environment to meet tight timelines.
