How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for managing the catering department which includes, overseeing catering crews as they plan and prepare to serve food at events such as wedding receptions, office functions and large parties.
As a Catering Coordinator, you will:
· Check emails in general & personal inboxes in Outlook
· Check booking system for new requests daily
· Consistently add cancellations & declined events to Cancellation & Declined Events tracker
· Update Summary & Booking system with information provided by clients
· Follow up with clients who have not confirmed upcoming events
· Send updates on changes to events that came after the weekly events meeting
· Work on menus and tent cards (if necessary) for next week's events.
· Work on inputting Billing details for current week as days go on
· Check that all Food Service items from the previous week are updated in booking system
· Remind Clients of Catering deadline
· Update previous week Consumption charges in Booking system & in Billing File
· Cross reference bookings in system to upcoming weeks on Weekly Event Summary sheets
· Check that all dietary restrictions, security, fees, etc. are noted on summary where necessary\
· Lead Weekly Catering Summary Meeting
· Correct any issues brought up in summary meeting, follow up with clients where necessary
· Manage general inbox daily
· Review Billing with Supervisor or Manager to ensure all event charges were added
· Using Canva or Avery, Print menus and tent cards for next week's events
