Wage range: $18.97 - $23.71 per hour
Shifts: 0830-1600; Monday to Friday
Hours: 70 hours/bi-weekly

Position Summary:

The NDC Clerk is responsible for performing clerical functions to support the effective operation of the Nutrition Distribution Center (NDC) and Cold Assembly/Ware Washing areas.

Duties:

  • Complete the primary CBORD IMS Issue/Commit Function and all secondary duties involved in the process
  • Filing all reports generated from the CBORD Inventory Management System and issue templates
  • Data Co-ordination for Nutrition Service Quality Assurance Program
  • Photocopy all forms and templates required for daily operation of the NDC department and all its production areas
  • Performing other related computer responsibilities as assigned
  • Interacting with supervisors and other employees in the department for ongoing improvement

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Up to one (1) year related experience in an administrative or clerical role
  • Alpha numeric data entry skills
  • Ability to perform routine work independently in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Nutrition department standards
  • Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity
  • Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English fluently
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • General knowledge of food service practices, procedures and standards, required
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications, required
  • CBORD or equivalent software experience, required
  • Answering telephone calls; relaying telephone calls, inquiries and/or messages to appropriate individual/area; responding to internal and external inquiries
  • Must be able to tolerate a cold environment; in a refrigerated work area
