Under the general direction of the Director of Surveillance Ontario & Regional Manager for Surveillance, this position is responsible for the overall management of surveillance operations at the site level. Assists with the planning and directing of surveillance operations strategic plans. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Implements all new surveillance operations initiatives as directed. Actively participate s in the recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the surveillance operation at the site level; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for dir ect reports
Implements surveillance operations strategic plans as directed
Reviews violations, large cash and cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access reports; takes appropriate actio n
Audits systems and processes
Develops and maintains labor budgets
Acts as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies on surveillance issues
Maintains logs and records; stores records securely for evidence purpose s
Reviews reports on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule
Reviews special investigation results or requests and provides recommendations
Oversees inventories
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, regulatory bodies, ownership and team members
Ensures comp liance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma; Post-Secondary education in criminol ogy or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Minimum 5 years of surveillance and/or security experience; minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience; gaming experience preferred
Responsible Liquor S ervice Certification where required
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office Smart Srve Certification Required
A bility to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
Regular casino environment, secure back office environment, sitting for long periods of time, some exposure to noise and conflict , frequent irregular work hours, visual acuity and attention on screens for long periods of time.
