Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Regional Operations Directors, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Lead a team providing Corporate Hospitality services (Catering, Concierge and Conference Services)
  • Own client relationships ensuring partnership through transparency and excellent communication, creating clients who are champions and advocates.
  • Ensure that your teams deliver outstanding guest experiences as defined by our journey mapping process.
  • Build an inclusive and supportive team culture that is focused on performance.
  • Deliver financial results as per client and Compass budget processes.
  • Prioritize health and safety through the proactive execution of safety programs
  • Support growth by participating in the sales and retention process.
  • Conduct client negotiations, renegotiate unit contract and coordinate documentation of contract changes.
  • Ensure adherence to company purchasing programs.
  • Ensure consistent and equitable administration of human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and support the preferred employer focus.
  • Identify training requirements and develop and coach supervisory and manager associates to meet staffing and succession planning needs, as well as to ensure optimum utilization of associates.

  • 5+ years' related Hospitality experience with a focus in catering, conference and/or concierge services. Hotel or Conference Centre experience is an asset.
  • Multi-unit supervisory experience.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships and an open line of communication with clients, colleagues and associates.
  • Ability to think Strategically, identify opportunities, develop and execute plans.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and clients.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications and comfortable learning new applications.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as prepare and present effective PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and improve financial results within the region and within the reporting units.
