ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our Finance team as we develop a Procurement function focused on empowering the business, managing risk, and optimizing resources. Our newly established Procurement team is dedicated to designing a streamlined, user-friendly process that enhances engagement, drives operational efficiency, and delivers cost savings across the organization.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Sourcing Manager will be a key contributor to Plusgrade's Procurement journey, bringing creativity and adaptability to simplify procurement within a dynamic organization. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the sourcing function within our Procurement organization. Your responsibilities will include implementing strategic sourcing processes, fostering strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, and leading high-value vendor negotiations to secure cost savings and enhance value. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in managing successful sourcing deals, with a particular focus on indirect spend, especially within the SaaS category for SMBs. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Strategic Planning:
Collaborate and develop sourcing plans for each business unit and category

Lead Sourcing Initiatives:
Drive the ongoing pipeline of sourcing initiatives, accelerating time-to-value and enhancing procurement's strategic impact.

Risk Management:
Work closely various governance teams (Finance, Security, Legal) in identifying vendor risks and facilitate discussions for remediation

Strengthen End-to-End Collaboration:
Drive procurement process innovation by collaborating with teams in Security, Legal, Finance to implement impactful change. Foster a culture of continuous improvement with key stakeholders in the sourcing process by championing automation, simplification, digitization, and self-service solutions.

Contribute to defining the Future of Procurement:
Collaborate to develop a proactive procurement function that aligns with Plusgrade's objectives, establishing it as a driver of innovation and business value.

Analytics and Insights:
Generate status reports and deal summaries, deliver spend analytics to inform business stakeholders.

-Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience with RFX events, Indirect Procurement, reviewing contracts and commercial terms, and negotiation
-Strong organization skills including demonstrated tenacity for following up with team, collaborators and governance SMEs on outstanding items
-Solid understanding of any Procurement applications
