What you'll do
The Senior Advisor, Partnerships is an experienced professional responsible for representing our partners within the Marketing team and business unit. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of sport partners, with a focus on proactive partner management. You will develop the short-term strategic direction for our partnerships and lead cross functional teams in the planning and execution of activations that support business objectives. Working closely with the Marketing team, you will develop programs that take advantage of available assets in support of Partnership agreements. Specific partnerships include: the NHL CH, Soccer Quebec, Hockey Quebec, the Montreal and Quebec Marathon, Quebec Ski hill Association as well as the Quebec student network association (RSEQ). This role will require a high degree of collaboration and communication with other team members across business units within FGL Franchise and the Canadian Tire Family of Companies.
The Senior Advisor, Partnerships is responsible for planning, executing and delivering high quality servicing to our partners and business units. Specifically:
• Managing the day-to-day relationship with FGL sport partners
• Developing and executing plans and programs that meet Partnership and business unit objectives
• Working collaboratively with the Marketing teams to advance sponsorship priorities and develop effective integrated plans within FGL and CTC
• Leading cross functional projects - responsible for planning, reporting and integration
• Providing experience and best practice-based support and guidance to internal stakeholders for executing initiatives
• Understanding rules & guidelines regarding access to assets and ensures business units are well informed
• Tracking measurements to ensure effectiveness of all programs and appropriate ROI
• Creative and strategic development including writing, editing and presentation development
• Supporting the tracking of annual partner budgets
What you bring
• Bilingual (French and English) - speaking, reading, writing
• Post-secondary education in Sports Management/Marketing/Sponsorship, Marketing, Event Management
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in events, marketing & communications, sponsorship and/or sports marketing
• Passionate about sport from grassroots to high performance
• Knowledge of the Quebec sport system an asset
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to balance multiple priorities, prioritize and deliver programs and tactics on time to budget in an ambiguous, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional team across multiple business units - in-person and remotely
• Self-starter and ability to influence without authority
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Ability to work within a matrix organization
• Must be willing to work nights or weekends on occasion
