YOUR ROLE: Cloud Native Architect

WORK YOU'LL DO:

Become a Cloud Architect where you will take your cloud native application design, development & modernization expertise to the next level. This position entails a deep technical background in the design and custom development of modern distributed applications. As companies migrate off legacy systems, it is imperative for this individual to understand how a company is technically positioned and how to position that company for the future through application modernization and greenfield custom development on-prem or any of the major cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities entail:

  • Design distributed cloud native applications based on the twelve-factors methodology
  • Design and build proof of architectures where required
  • Oversee the design and build of cloud native applications with ability to help resolve complex technical challenges
  • Client stakeholder management with strong communication skills (both written and oral) with abilities to present to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Native Application Design & Development, leveraging microservices and cloud native patterns, event-driven architecture, and evolutionary architecture principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years conducting client technology assessments, with suggested improvements in automation, application architecture, and cloud platform services.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and building cloud native applications leveraging:
  • Angular or React for front-end development.
  • Node.js or Java/SpringBoot for microservices development.
  • 5 years of experience building cloud native applications on any of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • 2 years of experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or other messaging brokers is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with domain-driven design and Kubernetes.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. Associate degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

  • Need to be able to Manage Project- Estimation/work planning/issue management/risk management/client expectation
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
