Custodial Coordinator position coordinates the provision of custodial services to assigned government-owned facilities in Whitehorse Schools, including direct and indirect supervision of approximately 50-60 cleaning staff. This position provides direction and monitors contractor performance to project completion ensuring the custodial contracts stay within the scope of work. This position is responsible for undertaking procurement and managing contracts for cleaning services within the Central Region.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and delivering a custodial or similar program area
  • Experience working with custodial equipment and supplies
  • Experience leading a team, as well as scheduling Auxiliary-On-Call staff in a client service environment, including experience in Human Resource functions such as payroll (timesheets), and performance management
  • Experience with procurement practices and contract management.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:

  • RCMP Security Clearance, including Vulnerable Sector
  • Valid class 5 driver's license

Job Requirements:

  • Travel, ability to lift up to 22 kilograms, occasionally working in adverse weather conditions.
